Polyethylene
Polyethylene Plastic Mesh
Plastic netting extruded from polyethylene is softer and more flexible than polypropylene resin net mesh. Polyethylene is more durable in cold weather, and more resistant to cracking.
Polyethylene plastic resin has high ductility and low friction. The soft, cushioning characteristics of polyethylene make that resin ideal for our Protective Mesh Sleeves. Polyethylene is also used as an electrical insulator. It can become electrostatically charged. That charge can be reduced by the addition of carbon black.
Our Standpipe Filter products, knitted shelfish bags, and Cage Netting products are all made from polyethylene resin.
See our Material Specs page for all Polyethylene resin specifications including melting temperature, softening point, heat deflection temperature, and low temperature brittleness.
Or choose from a broad range of extruded diamond or square plastic mesh.
PMSF refers to the nominal weight of plastic netting measured in pounds per 1000 square feet
