High Temp Mesh
Extruded PET or PBT Plastic Netting
Polypropylene is the most cost effective choice for ambient temperatures but the heat deflection temperature is just 194°F (90°C). It softens at 305°F (152°C) and melts at 323°F (161°C).
Contrast that with Extruded Nylon 6 which reaches its softening point at 374°F (190°C) and melts at 428°F (220°C).
Polyester mesh is suitable for continuous use to 270°F (132°C). We also offer a PET/PP blend suitable for temperatures to 400°F.
Our PTFE expanded plastic mesh is rated for continuous use temperatures up to 500°F (260°C).
High Temperature mesh is available in a variety of configurations. PTFE mesh is produced by slitting and expanding. A precision weaving process is used to create polyester or nylon woven mesh with openings as small as 1 micron.
Nylon and PTFE products are made from resin that complies with FDA regulations for food contact.
