Looking for high temperature mesh? Polypropylene is the most cost effective choice for ambient temperatures but the heat deflection temperature is just 194°F (90°C). It softens at 305°F (152°C) and melts at 323°F (161°C).
Contrast that with Nylon 6 which reaches softening point at 374°F (190°C) and melts at 428°F (220°C). Or Polyester suitable for continuous use up to 270°F (132°C). PBT mesh offers high heat resistance up to 420°F (216°C) and low temperature performance down to -40°F (-40°C). We also offer a PET/PP blend suitable for temperatures to 400°F.
For applications that require continuous use temperatures up to 500°F (260°C) choose from our selection of PTFE meshes.
Our High Temperature mesh is available in a variety of configurations. PTFE mesh is produced by slitting and expanding. Extruded nylon mesh is available in rectangular or diamond apertures. A precision weaving process is used to create polyester or nylon woven mesh with openings as small as 1 micron.
Nylon and PTFE comply with FDA regulations for food contact.
