Polytetrafluoroethylene is suitable for continuous use in temperatures ranging from -100°C up to 260°C (500°F). PTFE mesh can also be used in many highly caustic applications. It's chemically resistant and self-lubricating. PTFE is inherently UV stable; UV radiation passes straight through causing no interactions.
- Non toxic
- High anti-adhesiveness
- Low-friction
- High dielectric properties
- Certified to meet FDA regulations for food contact

A unique, multi-step manufacturing process is used to create PTFE mesh.
PTFE films are extruded to exacting thickness specifications. Those films are slit, then stretched or expanded to create the range of openings and strand configurations that make up these meshes.
Slitting and expansion is controlled to provide nominal thicknesses and apertures. Some variation in width dimensions of PTFE meshes is inherent to this expansion process. As a result, most customers prefer to receive finished parts sheeted or die-cut to their custom dimensions as part of our order fulfillment services. PTFE mesh is also available in master roll form in the sizes listed above.
