Polybutylene Terephthalate Resin

Polybutylene Terephthalate, a type of thermoplastic polyester resin, withstands higher operating temperatures than conventional polypropylene plastic tubes and nets. Rigid mesh tubes and nets made from PBT resin perform in a much wider temperature range than similar structures made from polypropylene resin (click for detailed specifications). PBT resin offers high heat resistance up to 420°F (216°C) and low temperature performance down to -40°F (-40°C).

Products made from PBT resin provide excellent resistance to a variety of chemicals including aliphatic hydrocarbons, gasoline, oils and greases, dilute acids and bases, detergents and most aqueous salt solutions. PBT products may be made from resin that complies with FDA regulations for food contact (product number dependent / specific).
